Lavender Lake Cleaning Co. - Terms and Conditions

LAVENDER LAKE CLEANING CO.

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“Client,” “you,” or “your”) and Lavender Lake Cleaning Co. (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) governing the use of our residential cleaning services. By booking a service with Lavender Lake Cleaning Co., you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

 

1. Services Provided
Lavender Lake Cleaning Co. provides residential cleaning services within New York City, including standard cleaning, deep cleaning, move-in/move-out cleaning (see policy below), and other services described on our website. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any service at any time without prior notice.

2. Walk-Throughs
Walk-throughs are required prior to your first cleaning, after a lapse of two (2) months or more, or as otherwise deemed necessary. Walk-throughs last 15–30 minutes to assess your home, discuss priorities, and provide an accurate cleaning plan.

  • Missed Walk-throughs / Access Issues: If you are not present or access is not provided, the walkthrough is considered a no-show, the $50 deposit is retained, and a secondary walkthrough must be scheduled at an additional fee.

  • Walk-through cancellations or reschedules follow the cancellation window below.

 

3. Service Payment & Deposit Policy
Full payment for the scheduled cleaning is required at the time of booking and prior to scheduling the walkthrough.

  • Cancellation before the walkthrough: full refund.

  • Cancellation after the walkthrough but within the standard window: $50 deposit retained, remaining balance refunded.

  • Cancellation after cutoff: standard cancellation fees apply, up to 100% of the scheduled service cost.

 

4. Client Responsibilities & Supplies
Clients must provide accurate property information, safe access, and working cleaning tools: vacuum, broom, mop, bucket, toilet brush, and access to a step ladder for high or hard-to-reach areas. Pets and valuables should be secured. Cleaning may be limited if required supplies or access are not provided. We do not lift heavy furniture or clean hazardous areas.

5. Cancellation, Rescheduling & Fees

  • Notice required: at least 48 hours for cancellation or rescheduling without penalty.

  • 24–48 hours’ notice: 50% of scheduled service applies if we cannot accommodate the reschedule.

  • <24 hours or same-day: full service charge applies.

  • Emergency cancellations or reschedules are handled on a case-by-case basis.

6. No-Show / Lockout
If we cannot access the property or no one is present at the scheduled time without notice, the appointment is a no-show. Fees equal 100% of the scheduled service, and any deposits are retained.

 

7. Satisfaction Guarantee
Clients must notify us within 24 hours if unsatisfied. We may offer a return visit or service credit at our discretion. We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, wear, or unsecured items.

8. Liability & Insurance
We carry liability insurance and take reasonable care during services. Our liability is limited to repair or replacement costs, up to $500 per incident, unless otherwise required by law. We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, improper installation, unsecured items, or natural deterioration. All employees and contractors are covered by general liability insurance.

 

9. Independent Contractors
Services may be performed by independent contractors who meet our professional standards and insurance requirements. Clients may not solicit or hire contractors directly for 12 months after service without written consent.

 

10. Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our control, including acts of God, natural disasters, labor shortages, illness, government orders, or transportation delays.

11. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by New York State law. Disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in New York County under American Arbitration Association rules. Each party bears its own costs.

12. Amendments
We may update these Terms at any time. The most recent version is available on our website. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of revised Terms.

MOVE-IN / MOVE-OUT CLEANING POLICY

LAVENDER LAKE CLEANING CO.

Effective Date: January 2026

Our Move-In / Move-Out Cleaning service provides a thorough, detailed cleaning for empty apartments or homes being prepared for new occupants or final inspections. This service is designed to meet common landlord, property management, and real estate standards and focuses on deep cleaning all interior living spaces.

​

What This Service Includes

A standard Move-In / Move-Out Cleaning includes:

• Dusting and wiping all accessible surfaces
• Cleaning baseboards, trim, and interior doors
• Vacuuming and mopping all floors
• Full bathroom cleaning and sanitization, including toilets, tubs, showers, sinks, mirrors, and fixtures
• Kitchen cleaning, including countertops, sinks, backsplashes, and exterior appliance surfaces
• Wiping the interiors and exteriors of cabinets and drawers where accessible
• Cleaning light switches, door handles, and other high-touch areas
• Spot cleaning interior windows, mirrors, and window sills

​

Services Not Included

The following services are not included in standard Move-In / Move-Out Cleaning and require additional fees and advance approval:

• Carpet shampooing or steam cleaning
• Deep interior appliance cleaning (ovens, refrigerators, freezers)
• Wall washing, paint removal, or surface repair
• Removal of paint, adhesives, or construction residue
• Heavy debris removal, trash hauling, or furniture moving
• Hazardous materials, biohazard cleanup, or hoarding situations
• Exterior areas, balconies, patios, garages, or storage spaces

Client Preparation Requirements

To ensure the best results, clients must prepare the property prior to service:

• Empty Property: All personal belongings and furniture must be removed. Our team does not lift or move heavy items.
• Client-Provided Supplies: Clients must provide a working vacuum, broom, mop, bucket, toilet brush, and access to a step ladder for high or hard-to-reach areas.
• Property Access: Safe, unobstructed access must be arranged before the scheduled appointment.

If these requirements are not met, the service may be limited, rescheduled, or canceled, and applicable fees may apply.

Walkthroughs

A walkthrough may be required to assess the property’s condition and confirm the scope of work. Walkthroughs must be completed prior to scheduling the cleaning service.

Payment & Deposits

• Full payment is due at the time of booking.
• Any deposit paid for a walkthrough is applied toward the total cost of the cleaning.
• Deposits are nonrefundable for late cancellations or no-shows.

Cancellations, Rescheduling & No-Shows

• More than 48 hours’ notice: No cancellation fee
• 24–48 hours’ notice: 50% of the scheduled service cost
• Less than 24 hours or same-day cancellations: 100% of the scheduled service cost

If our team cannot access the property at the scheduled time without prior notice, the appointment will be treated as a no-show and charged in full.

Property Condition & Additional Charges

Properties requiring excessive time due to heavy buildup, neglect, or unexpected conditions may incur additional charges. Any necessary adjustments will be communicated when possible.

Service Limitations & Liability

We provide professional residential cleaning services only. We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, normal wear and tear, or conditions requiring repair, restoration, or specialty cleaning services.
